Vet Visit

When you think about getting a puppy one of the things you have to remember is the initial expense that comes with them. A big part of those expenses is the vet bills because puppies need to have booster shots every few weeks and they don't come cheap. We are very luck to have found a wonderful vet close by who truly enjoys his job and cares very much for each animal. He would never prescribe us anything we don't need, and offers advice for us to try before resorting to medications. As Zeus is 12 weeks old now it is up to us to get his next booster shot. Lush Bulldogs did a great job of keeping track of all Zeus' previous shots and dewormings on a health record for us, so it was easy for us to know what his next shots are and easy to continue keeping a good record at home.

Today Zeus got his Vanguard 5-DA2PP vaccination and his Bronchine Injection-Bordetella. This with the wellness check from the vet came to $109.05 total. I am happy to say Zeus' appointment went really well. He has a clean bill of health, he is growing properly and weighs in at 23lbs. Such a solid boy! He was so good when getting his shots, just sat down and let the vet do his thing. The vet also looked in his ears and mouth and listened to his heart. Zeus was fine with all of that and once again made me a proud dog mom. He also greeted everyone there with tail wags and puppy kisses, so I was very happy we got more positive socialization in.

Our next vet visit for will be at 16 weeks when we get to do another weigh in and get some more booster shots. A very helpful site with information on the different shots and when to get them is:
